Three men were expecting an Uber driver — not what police described as a naked, drunken, man with a hatchet.

Police arrested Michael Monroe in the early hours of Sunday morning after the Virginia man was reportedly spotted driving erratically, nearly hitting pedestrians.

Before police could catch up with the driver, three men awaiting an Uber got into a fight with the 64-year-old in a parking lot, officers noted in an incident report.

“A verbal altercation ensued and the subject, who was naked at the time of the incident, retrieved a hatchet from the backseat of the vehicle and started swinging the object,” a United States Park Police officer said.

The three men reportedly wrestled Monroe to the ground and relieved him of his hatchet.

Monroe then drove off before he was stopped by police who charged him with drunken driving, refusal to take a field sobriety test and disorderly conduct.
